Track Lights Have These Advantages
There are hundreds of lamps and lanterns. In addition to their shapes, there are also installation methods, advantages and disadvantages, etc., and the differences will vary a lot. For example, LED track lamps are very popular, but they also hide a lot of knowledge that you don't know. Let's find out together!
Track lighting is to install the track above the continuous track containing copper wires. Through the track, the angle and different optical designs can be adjusted to provide space flexibility and changeable lighting design.
With more tracks, the track lights can effectively liberate the light from the traditional rigid restrictions through the lamps. The track system can be installed on the ceiling, wall, floor, under the beam or suspended in any space, and can even reduce ceiling decoration cost.
Ⅰ. Diffrences of LED track lamp beams
In addition to LED and halogen bulbs, track lights can also choose the appropriate light color temperature and irradiation area according to the illuminated target, which can be roughly divided into the following three types:
1. Spotlight track light
The spotlight track light has a narrow angle beam range of less than 20°, which can make the irradiated place or object very prominent, but the beam range is small, the light will become sharper and more direct, and the secondary spot will also become obvious. Type track lights are usually suitable for accent lighting such as statues, flower plants, artworks, and specific decorations. If it is used in a home space, it is recommended to add a soft lens to modify the light.
2. Soft light track light
The soft light track light has a medium-angle beam range of 20-40°. Compared with the spotlight track light, its light effect will be softer, which can make the irradiated objects have a strong visual impact, and can not eat the lines and textures of the irradiated objects. Soft track lights are suitable for walls, paintings, photography, general walkways or graphic artworks, etc.
3. Floodlight track light
Flood-type track lights have a wide-angle beam range greater than 50°, which is a flood-type light source. Because the scattered light has a large range, it is difficult to focus on a single object, and it is often mixed together with the background and light source, which is more of an atmosphere creation. A similar light source cannot guide the visual focus.
Ⅱ. LED VS Halogen Lamp, LED Track Bulb Competition
1. Energy saving
For track lights with the same brightness, LED track lamps are more energy-efficient than previous halogen track lights, and the power consumption is only 40%-60% of the original, which has a very significant energy-saving effect.
2. Lifespan
For common big brand LED track lamps, it can be used up to 30,000 hours, while traditional track lights can only be used for 8,000 hours.
3. Effectiveness
The electro-optical conversion efficiency of LED track lamps can reach about 90%, and it rarely generates heat, while about 80% of ordinary light bulbs are converted into heat energy, and only about 20% are converted into light energy, so LED track lamps are more efficient and energy-saving.
4. Security
Ordinary light bulbs with halogen as the light source, the principle of light is that the heavy metal element mercury reacts with the two electrodes to produce light after vaporization, which has high heat and radiation; while LED is a cold light source, it is not easy to cause fire accidents during use, and it is relatively safe and secure.
In addition, ordinary light bulbs and fluorescent lamps will flicker when they are powered by AC, which can easily cause vision damage, which is also a hidden worry in the use of non-LED lamps.
